• National Day on Writing, October 20th
Today people write as never before˜texting, on blogs, with video cameras and cell phones, and, yes, even with traditional pen and paper. People write at home, at work, inside and out of school.
To recognize and celebrate this writing, NCTE has announced its National Day on Writing, scheduled for Tuesday, October 20, 2009; the accompanying National Gallery of Writing, a digital archive of samples that exhibit how and why Americans are writing every day, accessible to all through a free, searchable website, will be unveiled on October 20. http://www.ncte.org/dayonwriting/about
